I have a client who pointed out the list-style-type "upper-alpha" is not working on her site that I built in Genesis and Dynamik.
She has a page with a lot of formatting using numbered lists, followed by text she'd like to be preceded with uppercase letters, such as:
1. Text
2. Text
A. Text
B. TextIn edit mode, it looks perfect. After being published, the upper alpha characters are displaying as numbers.
I narrowed down the issue to Genesis. Changing the theme to Twenty Twenty One and it displays fine. Once Genesis and the Genesis Sample theme are active, the problem occurs.
The CSS behind the scenes looks correct to me. It's being created via the Advanced Editor Tools plugin (previously called TinyMCE Advanced).
<ol> <li>line one</li> <li>line two</li> </ol> <ol style="list-style-type: upper-alpha;"> <li>this should be labeled with "A"</li> <li>this should be labeled with "B"</li> <li>this should be labeled with "C"</li> <li>this should be labeled with "D"</li> </ol>
Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks!

Hi, I've got the Genesis framework with the Dynamik Website Builder (Cobalt Apps) child theme. I use Beaver Builder on top of that.
I'm looking for someone who knows Dynamik Website Builder well and can do development and troubleshooting work for me.
Any possible people or resources you could suggest would be great.
Thanks,
- Andy
Am I going to break my site or have difficulty editing pages that were built with BB when I switch to Elementor?
I've been using Genesis for at least 10 years, and many of my older customer sites are still functioning with old themes named Pixel Happy and Back Country. Recently I tried to update Genesis to 3.x on a site using the Back Country child theme (she was still running Genesis 2.x), and the site got really wonky. It was as if none of the custom CSS in the child theme was being read. I wound up restoring her version of Genesis back to an older version, but of course we'd like to stay current. What is the best approach to take for updating other sites who also use these very old themes? Is there no solution but to change the underlying theme to a new one? (I use Dynamik by Cobalt Apps as my child theme of choice now.) I've trained my customers to always keep things updated so I know I'm going to hear about similar breaks on other sites over the next few months. Thanks for any tips.
Topic: Styling guten blocks
Hi
Im using genesis with a custom child theme from dynamik website builder.
How do i apply a style to a block. Lets say the standard paragraph text block.
Under block properties in advanced there is a field called additional css. Here i give a class name. Lets say i call it "blockstyle". Now how do i apply css to this class.
Do i have to add the css to the main style sheet, like this: .blockstyle {background-color:
linear-gradient(red, yellow);}Topic: Broken layout and images
Hi All. I have created several websites with Genesis as parent theme and Dynamik Website Builder as a child theme.
All of a sudden some of our sites started looking broken. One of those is:
I got in touch with hosting provider. They said it's a theme issue. Get in touch with theme developer.
βββββββKindly help. What should I do.Β
I did not make any recent change to this website neither did I upload any new plugin.
I apologise if I am not using the correct terminology. I want to create a area on the HomePage that shows a Post Category Excerpt, I already am using the Feature Post Widget and that works great, but I need to control the look the this one. I thought the best way to go about this was to create a Hook Box that pulls in the Post Excerpt and from the Hook Box I could create StyleSheets to control the look.
Does anyone know how I could achieve this?[Resolved]Topic: Just getting started-dazed and confused
I have two web sites. One a wp site that I used a free theme. It is up and running smoothly. Recently spoke with a lady that has been using Genesis and Studio press for her site ( I love her site). so I decided to buy Genesis and studio Press. I am totally lost. After purchase I uploaded Genesis Framework to my wp site which is hosted by Hostgator. I also uploaded Dynamik Website builder. Everything I uploaded looks good. So what I think I have is this: Genesis sample? Genesis Framework, and dynamik Website builder (dynamik-Gen) which I think is a free Theme?
At this point, I don't know what I have or if I need to purchase a theme. I was wondering if someone, can lead me to what I have to do next. I hope I didn't waste my money on these purchases because it may be way over my ability. Also is there a guide that I can download that gives a step by step guide for setting up my site.Topic: Dynamik or Beaver Builder
Hi folks,
I am new in genesis and I would like to use a builder.
